Might want to keep an extra broker on hand if you have regular issue getting your designated trader to show up for work.ĥ0% seems awfully high with trading. Never accept a standard counteroffer, as it is almost always going to be terrible for you. If they want more, remove what they add and give them a little bit more profit of your own choosing. Give traders a decent profit and they'll accept just about any deal. Unless you pull a Bronzemurder, you shouldn't need to offer any goods. Offering just nets you more migrants, and most fortresses get too many migrants to begin with. Not unless you've recently undergone some major Fun and need to get the attention of the mountainhome. Keep your craftsdwarves churning out the crafts, and eventually giving traders a profit of 1000 or 1500 won't be an issue. They don't like equal trades, and don't like going away without at least some profit.
